“Good Life Solutions Program” Ryson Community Outreach Program

We are proud to call York County home, and as such actively pursue community outreach programs.

On October 9th and 10th – as active participants in the “Good Life Solutions Program” of The New Horizons Regional Education Center, Ryson International was afforded an opportunity to participate in recruiting fairs on their Hampton and Newport News Virginia Campuses.

New Horizons Regional Education Center (NHREC) is operated by the six (6) Virginia Peninsula School Divisions, comprised of twenty one (21) high schools to provide technical programs designed for juniors and seniors committed to train to enter the workforce or post-secondary education.

Among the programs offered by New Horizons are; Automotive, Construction, Manufacturing and Information Technologies.  These programs teach ready to work skills transferable to companies like Ryson. This is certainly one of the worthwhile and mutually beneficial community outreach programs. Earlier this year, we recruited two bright employees from this program.

Ryson International staff had a chance interact with scores of students and present the potential career path opportunities and benefits provided by the number one manufacturer of spiral conveyors in the USA. Multiple participating students indicated a strong prospective interest in being part of the Ryson team. Read more about Ryson International.
