2 Ryson Spirals used to clear an existing lineThis week, we are shipping two of the shortest Mass Flow Spiral Conveyors we have manufactured. They will be used in an up-over-down configuration to clear an existing line.

The  customer needed to install a new bottling line in a tight space without interfering with an existing line. Their new layout will use one spiral to elevate bottles, in mass, over the existing floor-mounted conveyors and the other will bring them back down to the floor level.

All Ryson Spirals are made to order and these spirals are a perfect example of how the Ryson modular design is flexible enough to easily work with the most challenging of layouts.

These 1900-260 model spirals utilize our 10” wide mass flow slat to handle full PET bottles (10 to 64 oz.) at speeds of up to 650 bottles/minute. The Hybrid stainless steel construction allows these to be used in a wet environment.

Tall Ryson Mass Flow SpiralRyson Mass Flow Spiral new 10” wide slat model with its small footprint is the perfect solution for moderate to low filler rates.

Next week we’ll be shipping one of our model 1900-260 Mass Flow Spiral Conveyors to a Canadian manufacturer of organic fruit spreads. The Spiral will take full glass jars from the discharge of the cooler and elevate them to their second floor for labeling, case packing and palletizing, at a volume up to 250 per minute.

Our expertise and market experience in being able to handle the weights and an elevation change of over 14 feet sets Ryson apart in the mass flow spiral world. Our new 10” wide model with its small footprint is the perfect solution for moderate to low filler rates.

The jars side transfer in to and out of this 9 1/2 turn spiral, which has stainless steel legs and feet, due to it’s proximity to the cooler. Our Integrator partner, Arrowhead Conveyor worked with the end-user on an expansion project and they chose Ryson for the vertical conveying requirements. Ryson is happy to introduce the new Model 1900-260 Mass Flow Spiral Conveyor.  This unit adds additional diversity to our existing line of mass flow vertical conveyors.

10 Inch Ryson Mass Flow

The 1900-260 is one of our High Capacity spiral models with a 10” wide slat surface. The advantage to this model is space savings, because of its smaller footprint, when throughput of our 16” and 20” wide slats is not required. It’s 1” drive chain gives this spiral a weight handling capacity of 3,600 lbs. and it is capable of up to 20 feet of elevation change – depending on the incline/decline angle.

The Ryson Mass Flow Spirals are perfect for vertically conveying bottles, cans, jars and generally anything round that needs to be conveyed in mass.   The 1900-260 gives our Integrator partners and their clients a better choice for applications where they have tight spaces or require less throughput than our larger mass flow units. It will be available with the same finish options as the rest of the Ryson product line.

This unit will be on display at the upcoming ExpoPack in Mexico City – Booth 1906. Below is a video showing how smaller PET bottles smoothly Transfer on the Spiral. Read more about Ryson Mass Flow Spiral Conveyors.
