In celebration of International Women’s Day 2024 on March 8th, Ryson is stepping up to make a difference in the lives of women in our community. This year we wanted to make an effort to uplift and support women in need in our area. Therefore we are proud to announce our partnership with two incredible organizations close to our facility in Virginia: the  GLOWW Center and the Natasha House.

Giving back to our community on Women’s Day

Similarly, the Natasha House is a women’s shelter that empowers homeless women and children by providing skills training and support to achieve self-sufficiency.

donations rysonWe believe in creating a society where every woman has the chance to succeed, regardless of her circumstances. By collecting donations within our team, we’re taking steps to make this vision a reality. These values have also been communicated with a lot of passion by our CEO Claudia van den Pol from the Royal APOLLO GROUP, our parent company. As a female leader herself, giving back to women and empowering them in the workplace is one of her biggest values in business.

The Ryson team collected many bags and boxes of clothes, canned and packaged food and toiletries. In addition, we gathered monetary contributions and transformed them into gift cards. We have also taken the idea to a global level and are happy to see that our friends in Holland and Thailand at Royal APOLLO have organized a very similar initiative for Women’s Day.

Celebrating Women in the Ryson Team

Furthermore, we recognize and celebrate the incredible women within our own team. To honor their hard work and dedication, we took them out for a special lunch on Friday, March 8th. It was a small gesture to express our gratitude for their contributions and to show our unwavering support for women’s achievements in the workplace and beyond. Thank you for everything you do, Angela, Mary, Amanda, Regina, René, Lucy, Tina, Kristy & Nancy!

On International Women’s Day, let us come together to celebrate the achievements of women everywhere and reaffirm our commitment to supporting and uplifting one another.
