Ryson Spiral from the Freezer to Packaging Floor

Ryson Freezer Spiral Conveyor

Ryson Spirals are often used to convey packaged products from the outfeed of a freezer at a high level down to the packaging floor. Since freezer spirals are commonly up to 48” wide, we lay out the spiral perpendicular to the spiral freezer and use a tapered ramp to gravity transfer the containers down onto the Ryson conveyor surface.

The spiral pictured is our all-stainless steel washdown unit with a 26” slat width and an elevation change over 15’. The gentle decline angle and additional friction inserts on the slats keep the product from sliding or re-orienting as it is transported to the packing station.
