One of the customer service benefits of the Ryson brand is that we offer product pre-testing on spirals.
Our Integrator Partners often take us up on this service. Because not everything handles the same on a spiral, it’s important to pre-test some products to make sure that they are stable on the spiral and don’t re-orient on the way up or down. It also allows us to determine the right amount of friction that will be required on the slats when we are asked to build the machine.
Sometimes products are top-heavy (tall with a small footprint) and this testing allows us to assess the right incline angle and spiral diameter so the product doesn’t tumble or slide back. Sometimes, very light products will move to the outside guide rail at high speeds.
Because of the volume of spirals we build every week, it’s easy to find one to test product on. We video tape the test and create a secure YouTube video to send to our integrator partners, so they can share the test results with their customer. Often times it creates peace of mind, and other times the answer is to pursue other options.
