Large Spiral Shipping Made Simple

All but the largest Ryson Spiral models ship in one piece, saving time and costs during installation. Large Spiral Shipping may require some disassembly to fit on a truck.

Some disassembly is required for Large Spiral Shipping

We are often asked what to expect when our larger spirals are shipped partially disassembled. As you can see from the photo, one side of the spiral is partially disassembled to fit into a truck. All of the removed parts are shipped with the unit on an ancillary skid. The removed slats and side guarding is carefully packaged, and is relatively simple to reassemble on site.

Our model 1800-650 – with its 26″ wide slats, and an outside diameter of 8′-6″ is a popular size but is too large to fit on a truck. Depending on the configuration, the return box may also need to be removed. This is also a common practice if the spiral is too large to be transported inside the building to the installation site. For example in older buildings where internal passageways have smaller doors.

All Ryson Spiral Conveyors are shop tested before being shipped to customers. If you would like more information on the installation best practices, view our installation page, or download documentation. You can also read other installation stories on our weekly news blog.
