Unique Application For a Spiral Conveyor

Last week we shipped four spirals for a unique application involving conveying loose rolls of paper towels.

Unique Application for Ryson Spiral

The cores will be parallel to the surface of the slats, something that is not commonly done on a spiral conveyor, making it a rather unique application. The 100% friction slats create a cleating affect that keeps the rolls centered on the chain as they are conveyed at 40 feet per minute. The spirals (2 up and 2 down) are our model 1200-300 with a 12” wide slat and an upper elevation of 12’.

The video below shows part of the product testing and factory acceptance test (FAT) we sent to the integrator. This is a service we provide for our customers. If someone has questions about how their product will work with a spiral, they can send us some test materials and we will videotape it running on a shop spiral similar to their required specifications. We can also videotape a spiral for a customer prior to shipping, in lieu of a personal visit, for a FAT inspection and highlight specific parts of their spiral.  This is an example of Ryson’s commitment to customer service and satisfaction.

This project was for our Integrator partner ProVantage Automation. For more information on the Ryson Spiral Conveyors, visit www.ryson.com, download the Ryson Vertical Conveying Brochure, or read more stories about Ryson Case Spiral applications on this blog.
