Mass Flow spirals for the Glass-Making Industry

Ryson Mass Flow Spiral for the Glass-Making IndustryRyson’s Mass Flow Spiral Conveyors are an ideal solution to vertically convey bottles, cans and jars. It is attracting much interest from the glass-making industry.

This week we’re shipping two specialized Mass Flow Spirals to a glass manufacturer in California for our Integrator Partner, Barlow Packaging.

The project involves elevating and lowering glass wine bottles with a reverse taper in a single file, with the future requirement to mass flow long neck beer bottles. The spirals also included a self-contained local control station with a digital interface to upstream and downstream conveyors to allow the system to run three different speeds based on the bottle type being conveyed.

The project included one spiral incline and one decline with an elevation change of 6 and 8 feet. This model 2300-400 is capable of conveying bottles in mass up to 1200 bottles per minute and up to 300 bottles per minute in a single file.
