High Capacity Washdown Spirals for a Gritty Job

This week Ryson is shipping two stainless steel high capacity washdown spirals to the small town of Coatzacoalcos, Mexico. What makes this order unusual is that the spiral will be handling bags of salt weighing 45kg each. The combination of humidity, temperature, sea air, and the bags of salt make for a unfriendly environment for any equipment.

Ryson Stainless Steel High Capacity Washdown SpiralsThe Ryson High Capacity 1700-600 spirals were manufactured from all stainless steel including SS bearings suitable for washdown.   While this material configuration is normally used in food and beverage applications where the unit must be cleaned regularly, the aggressive nature of the environment and the product itself create a situation where tough requirements require tough equipment.

While the Ryson spirals are well known for the ruggedness, ability to save space, and increase throughput, they are also manufactured specifically per each application to get the longest life possible.  Because of the weight of the product the 24” wide High Capacity slats and 1” chain provide the capacity necessary to withstand the most demanding requirements.

Our  partner on this project was Empac, a Mexican based Integrator. For more information on Ryson products visit our website www.ryson.com or call us at 757-898-1530.
