Factory Acceptance Test Are Very Beneficial

Maintenance Tour Factory Acceptance Test
The Customer and Systems Integrator get a tour of Ryson and a demonstration of Spiral Preventative Maintenance.

Recently we conducted a Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) on four Ryson Spiral Conveyors for General Mills. They will be installed in their new frozen pizza packaging line in their Wellston, Ohio plant. The four spirals handle cases of different sizes. They travel at a rate of 40 units per minute and the spiral conveyor receives them at 2′-0″ then inclines them to a discharge height of 10′-0″.

This type of Factory Acceptance Test is very beneficial because the customer gets a first-hand look at the spiral conveyor before shipping and allows them to be better prepared for the installation. The customers also took the opportunity to try several “what if” scenarios and were encouraged with the outcome. The additional benefit from an in-person FAT is that Ryson runs though integration and preventative mainenance proceedures with thier PMMI Certified Trainers. The integrator on this project was Integrated Solutions and Systems of Florence, Kentucky.
