Customer Training at Ryson Facility Readies Equipment for Transit

Ryson makes customer training a priority. All of our field service technicians have gone through the PMMI Certified Trainer program. We also welcome customers to visit our plant and get hands-on training – especially if site reassembly is required.

customer training on a Ryson SpiralRyson routinely offers their facility for customers to come and participate in customer training as needed to become more informed of the spiral’s operation, maintenance, and performance.   It’s also common for customers to send product for testing at Ryson as well as personnel to broaden their understanding of the Ryson spirals.

The OXXO Distribution Center in Monterrey, México is beefing up their distribution operation and chose the new Ryson Spiral model 1900-600 in order to meet the height requirements in the Distribution Center.  Each spiral is being built in 2 pieces that will require onsite service for reassembly.  Two of the Dematic Technical team are here this week to observe the final assembly, disassembly, and to be trained on the details of reassembly onsite when the spirals arrive in Monterrey next week.

Tall Ryson Spiral Customer Training

Splitting a spiral in 2 pieces is often a solution for limited access on site, or space limitations in transit.  It involves not only splitting the center column and installing the respective flanges for reconnection in the field, but affects the load arms, side guides, slats, infeed section, etc.   Reassembly in the field requires a great deal of attention to detail so hands-on training here at the Ryson facility is paramount.
