Since their induction close to two years ago, the Ryson High Capacity Spiral Conveyor has taken off. Once the benefits of our heavy hitter were realized, their demand has increased dramatically. The high capacity spiral conveyor came about primarily because our customers needed to move heavier loads and go higher. The 1 inch chain that moves the slats is heavy duty, allowing for a capacity of 75 lbs. per linear foot of conveyor for speeds up to 200 FPM. The total weight capacity in the spiral at any one time is 3600 lbs.
Only one drive motor is required, resulting in substantial savings in energy, controls and system integration. Ryson Spirals are designed for low maintenance and long life. South America is an important growth market for Ryson International, Inc. The recent Expo Pack exhibition in Mexico City gave us an opportunity to show our commitment to this market.
EXPO PACK was very well attended by customers from all parts of South America and Ryson was showcasing its new line of high capacity mass flow spiral conveyors. The Mass Flow Spirals are based on the already proven and reliable Ryson Spiral technology and can be delivered with 12”, 16” or 20” wide slats with capacities of up to 800, 1,200 2,000 bottles or cans per minute respectively. Available in powder coated carbon steel, stainless steel and washdown versions.
Interest in the Ryson Mass Flow Spiral Conveyor is growing in the Latin American bottling industry. That is why Ryson will be exhibiting the new High Capacity Mass Flow Spiral Lift at EXPO PACK in Mexico City in a few weeks.
The Ryson Mass Flow Spirals handle bottles, cans, jars and similar containers. Products are conveyed vertically in a continuous mass flow.

Ryson will exhibit in Mexico again this year at EXPO PACK Mexico 2010. EXPO PACK has been a great show for Ryson in the past several years. Awareness of our Vertical Conveying Solutions is spreading across Latin America and EXPO PACK is certainly helping that effort.

Ryson brought the new Multiple Entry Spiral Conveyor to exhibit this year at NA2010. Systems integrators and end users alike were impressed with the design and immediately saw the potential for multi-tiered product flow with a very small footprint.
The Multiple Entry Spirals allow loads to enter the spirals from several different elevations. A new high speed induction conveyor provides controlled spiral entry. The conveyor belts are individually adjustable to match the spiral pitch. Traffic controls are required to prevent loads from different levels colliding in the spiral. The North American Material Handling and Logistics show was a great showing for Ryson. We had a pime booth location, right at the entrance and generated a lot of buzz even before the attendees were allowed to enter in the mornings. Counltess times “are you giving rides on your spiral” was heard, but it was hard for someone not to notice our large red high capacity spiral running as you passed bye.
The show was also a great opportunity for Ryson to reach out to our integrators and customers. Existing customers and prospects alike got a first hand demonstration of our latest innovations and models. The trade shows are one of the best ways to connect with our customers, and reaffirm that Ryson Spirals are on the cutting edge of vertical transportation.
It is also flattering when an existing customer, comes up to us just to thank us for a job well done.
