Ryson Multiple Infeed Spiral ConveyorOur talented System Integrator partners have continued to find great applications for our Multiple Infeed Spiral Conveyors. With the use of our custom-designed induction conveyor, we can merge cases into any turn in any of our high capacity spiral conveyor models. This gives the end-user additional space-saving advantage, because they can combine multiple packaging lines into one spiral conveyor unit.

Our Integrator partner – Nercon Engineering and Manufacturing – recently applied this technology on a project for their customer, an international food and beverage manufacturer. Two Ryson HC1700-400 Case Spirals were installed, both with induction conveyors feeding a second line into the turn just above the spiral’s infeed. Moderate case rates allows both the product lines to merge  in the spiral which inclines shrink-wrapped bundles to palletizers downstream.

Ryson Multiple Infeed Spiral Conveyor The Ryson Multiple Entry Spiral Conveyors are designed for  Multi-Tiered Product Flow and work best when loads are fairly uniform in size and weight. The induction conveyor belts are individually adjustable to match the spiral pitch. Traffic controls are required to prevent loads entering from different levels colliding in the spiral. If you would like more information on the Ryson Multiple Entry Spirals, visit www.ryson.com or download the Multiple Infeed Spiral Conveyors Brochure.

Tall Ryson High Capacity Spiral Conveyor

In the shop this week we are finishing a tall high capacity spiral conveyor. The HC 1700-400 (16″ wide slats) is going to a large consumer products manufacturer in Mexico. The spiral will become part of a system where products from 9 different packaging lines are conveyed overhead to an adjacent building. The spiral then declines variable sized packages 28 feet down to floor level at a speed of 200 FPM. From there they go to sortation and palletizing prior to shipping. The integrator on the project is C & A Systems out of Mexico.

The robust high capacity design gives Ryson the ability to go taller – and with more weight, while staying with our proven proprietary modular design. The total weight capacity in the spiral lift at any one time is 3600 lbs. Only one drive motor is required, resulting in substantial savings in energy, controls and system integration. Most models are shipped totally pre-assembled, which will minimize the implementation costs at their destination.

Ryson International, Inc. will be attending ProMat 2011 in Booth # 1523

Ryson will exhibit their new High Capacity Spiral Conveyor with multiple entry capabilities in booth # 1523 during ProMat 2011. It will be held at McCormick Place, Chicago, Illinois March 21 – 24.

Ryson Multiple=The Ryson High Capacity Spirals handle double the capacity of our standard spiral model. The load capacity is 75 lbs. per linear foot of conveyor with speeds up to 200 FPM. The total weight capacity in the vertical spiral at any one time is 3600 lbs. Only one drive motor is required, resulting in substantial savings in energy, controls and system integration. The  high capacity spiral lifts also ship in one peace, which drastically reduce the time and cost of installation. The High Capacity Spiral Conveyors can also be configured to allow loads to enter the spirals from several different elevations. A new high speed induction conveyor provides controlled spiral entry.

Irving Tissue recently put into operation a Ryson Multiple Entry Spiral Conveyor in a new production line. This high capacity spiral is equipped with 24″ slats. The in-feed is at 2′-0″ and the out-feed is at 24′-8″. What makes this application interesting is that the second infeed is on the floor level, allowing two production lines to use the same spiral. This results in substantial space and cost savings. View the short clip below.

The high speed induction conveyor provides controlled spiral conveyor entry. The conveyor belts are individually adjustable to match the spiral pitch, ensuring smooth entry into the spiral lift. Traffic controls are required to prevent loads entering from different levels colliding in the spiral. Ryson Multiple=The new Ryson High Capacity Spiral Conveyor design is getting many of our integrators excited. Especially when they learn it can come with multi-level in-feed options. We are showing off it’s capabilities this week at Pack Expo in Chicago.

The new Ryson High Capacity Spirals are in response to our customers need to go higher and handle more weight.
